Cleaning Your french Press
An easy way to clean your french press is to fill halfway with water, swirl it around, and use a strainer. Empty the mixture into the strainer in the sink. This will catch the coffee grinds, then you can put them in the bin or compost them.
Next, pour in some water halfway and some soap and put the plunger back in the french press and press several times up and down.
Next, rinse the plunger and press and then let drip dry or clean with a cloth or paper towel.
Now your french press is ready to be used the next time you want coffee!
If you don’t have a strainer, you can use this method:
The first step is to empty the coffee grinds out of the french press. This can be done by either tipping the press over into the trash can or by spooning the grinds out. Be sure to get all of the grinds out.
Start by rinsing the french press with water. This will help to remove any coffee grounds that may be stuck to the sides of the press.
Next, use a soft brush or cloth to gently rub the inside of the press using hot soapy water. Be sure to rinse the brush or cloth frequently so that you don’t end up transferring coffee grounds back into the press. Once you’ve cleaned the inside of the press, rinse it out again with hot water.
Next, Rince the plunger with water and wash it with hot soapy water (you can use a soft brush for this too). Finally, rinse with hot water.
let them drip dry or gently dry the press and plunger with a clean cloth or a paper towel.
And that’s it! You now know how to clean a french press in just a few easy steps.
